Conferences:

Parent-teacher conferences are on Tuesday, October 27 from 2:55-7:15 and Thursday, October 29 from 8:00-4:00. We once again will use My Conference Time to sign up for conferences. The following link will go live on Monday, October 12 at 7:00 AM and will allow you to sign up for conferences: www.myconferencetime.com/nmspatriots. Once on the site, select your student’s advisory teacher, and then select a date and time that works for you. If you need any help, please contact NMS at (712) 279-6804.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), my role is to assess students' health needs, provide care within my scope of practice, and determine if they should remain at school or be sent home. It is not within my legal or professional scope of practice to diagnose medical conditions, including strep throat, influenza, or other illnesses. Only a licensed healthcare provider (such as a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant) can diagnose and prescribe treatment.

Please do not send your child to school for a diagnosis. If your child is showing signs of illness (fever, sore throat, rash, persistent cough, vomiting, etc.), please consult your healthcare provider before sending them to school.

🌟Attention 6th Grade Parents 🌟

All students entering 7th grade must show proof of having the Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines or a Certificate of Immunization Exemption on file before the first day of school . Currently, the state of Iowa does not offer any grace/extension period for the implementation of this requirement.

Now is a great time to schedule an appointment for your 6th grader. Your student will not be allowed to attend school if we do not receive this documentation. If your student has already received these vaccines, please ask your doctor’s office to fax the immunization record to the school at 712-277-5941.

Friendly library reminder that student laptops need to be restarted at school daily. This will allow the laptop to get the district updates, which will allow it to run much better. If a student is having a laptop issue in the classroom (blank screen, no curser, admin password, etc.) please have them restart the laptop. The majority of the laptop issues coming down today just need a restart.

Tech Smart Tips:

3.) Bring your laptop and charger to school each day.

LOST AND FOUND:

We have an abundance of lost items that need to be found!

Clothing, shoes, water bottles, lunch bags, and more are in front of the TV by the front office.

There is also lost and found in each pod.

Items such as cell phones, jewelry, keys, and glasses are in the front office.

APPOINTMENTS/LEAVING EARLY:

Office staff are happy to help you make pick up easier!

• Student will be in the office when you arrive. ***When picking up your student and they are in P.E. It may take longer do to P.E. being outside or up at the NHS Track.****

The NMS Orchestra will perform it's Fall Concert at North Middle School gym. Families and friends are invited to enjoy an evening of music as students showcase their hard work and talent. This special performance highlights the dedication of the orchestra students and promises a night of wonderful entertainment.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Many students are having people deliver outside food/fast food to them at school.

This is not an option.

If food is delivered to students; they will get a pass to come down after school to pick up to take home with them.
